"Arbeit Macht Frei"

She was in a crowd
Of many others
Just like her,
Living a conscious
Nightmare...

Cadaverous eyes,
Smile beaten
From her face...
Her once milky skin
Now a dull gray...

Beautiful voice
Forcefully silenced
By monstrous robots,
Controlled by a madman!

“Arbeit Macht Frei”
The promise he made...
Work hard and obey
To be free again...

She did just that
So she could live!
Delicate girl
With so much to give...

She tried to stay strong
But grew weaker
By the day...

Starvation, mutilation
Extermination...
She just blew away.

The Museum

I went to the museum
Just the other day
Not one of beauty
In the usual way
But of ugliness
Atrocities against mankind
I saw images of skeleton people
With deep hollow eyes
Pale white flesh hanging
From mutilated lives
Walking death
Painful tortured cries
Hate was abundant in that evil place
Sickening example of a superior race
Babies ripped out of screaming mother’s arms
Bloodthirsty murderers
With impeccable charms
God’s chosen people wore David’s Star
On sleeves of tattered clothes
Their faith endured unspeakable horror
To this day many deny
The Holocaust ever happened
They say it’s a lie
Truth will overcome
Man’s twisted tongue
On the Day of Judgment
No one can run

Greed

Deafening silence breaks
As I watch the world’s
Unadulterated insanity...
I hear my voice cry out,
"Justice for humanity!"

Endless cruelty breeds in
Greedy ravenous souls...
Streams of oil
Pumping thru veins,
Where blood once did flow...

Riches, power and religion,
Promise of eternal bliss...
Men sell their empty souls
For a taste of the
Temptress with the poisonous kiss...

Earth drinks warm liquid of life
Spilled on its thirsting soil,
While evil taunts morality
Boasting another battle won,
With minimal amounts of toil...

Angels hover with wounded wings
Above the fallen human beings,
Shedding tears for fools akin...
Futility the revelation,
No one ever really wins.

Alone

In a crowded room I’m alone
Born to broken spirits
Infinite yearning
Never leaves my soul

An outcast
Restless, wanderer, gypsy
Stranger to the known
Longing for the unseen

Sparks of joy linger
Barely within my reach
Then flash by like
Spurts of electricity

Fill me dear Lord
In my time of grief
What lesson is this
Alone in my dark abyss

Plastic Hearts

Plastic hearts that are not real
Beat in chests that cannot feel
Plastic smile on a painted face
Plastic arms that can’t embrace

Plastic bodies standing tall
Cast hollow shadows on the wall
In a platinum palace on Easy Street
Resides the perfect plastic family

Narcistic eyes that cannot see
Or cry a tear for those who grieve
No time for someone else’s needs
They interrupt the plastic dreams

What happens when a world of fame
Slowly trickles down the drain
No more fans, what a shame
No one even remembers your name

Red White and Blue

Red White and Blue,
The things you’ve been thru...
From jungles, mountains
And salty red island shores
To haunted battlefields of home
Your majesty soars!

Burned, trampled, and spat upon
By traitors and foes...
Instilling fear to the core
Of your enemy’s souls,
You remain steadfast!

Waving high above young soldiers
From early dawn to late night,
Giving them courage
At your very sight...
You are strength!

When your mighty warriors
Take a fatal fall,
You gently drape them in honor
Escorting heroes home...
You are comfort!

Red White and Blue,
“Old Glory”, some say,
United we stand, under you
Until our dying day...
We are American Patriots true!

The Glass

“The glass is half empty.” said the old grimacing man.
The child looked at the crystal pink glass and chirped,
“No sir, the glass is half full!” smiling contently.
The man huffed, jerked his head to the left,
Lowering his chin and staring intently, first at the glass,
Then at the child, he said in a firm voice,
“What do kids know anyway? The glass is half empty!
The child answered, “Well sir, I know that when I put the
Glass on the table, it was empty; and then I filled it
Half way with water, so it’s half full!”
Looking baffled, the man pondered for a moment;
A smile slowly broke the concrete like
Grimace on his face, his eyes sparkled in awe of the child;
He patted the child gently on the top of his head,
And said, “The glass is half full!”

The Demon

Evil presence lingers
Unseen in the dark
Shadows whisk by
 Is it a dream

Fear envelopes
The core of my soul
Hissing whispers
Pierce the silence

Body paralyzed
Heart pounding
In my throat
Eyes tightly closed

Conversant, “I know you.”
Touch of cold creeping flesh.
“Come, I’m your friend.”
Conveyance of pure black dread.

Away from me,
We’ve battled before!
I need speak aloud
One name to conquer you…
“Yeshua”

I open my eyes

Throw Away Child

Throw away child
Walking the streets
Lonely path of chaos
In your world of grief

Mattress of concrete
No pillow for your head
Filthy back alleys
Your treacherous bed

Strangers pass by you
Living busy lives
No thought of the child
With invisible eyes

How did you get here
You had no choice
Young shattered spirit
Inaudible screaming voice

No gentle caress
For a bruised aching soul
You’re nothing but trash
Or so you’ve been told

But someone IS with you
Never leaving your side
He saved your life
The day that He died

He suffered injustice
At the hands of hate
Trusting Our Father
Embracing His fate

Reach beyond mortal flesh
To the heavens above
He is waiting for you
To accept His eternal love

Intimidation

Palms sweating
Heart pounding
I can hear you heart
Shhh, not so loud
They will hear you too

Quick spurts of bated breath
Just the lesser side of panting
Chest expanding and compressing
Slow down lungs
They might sense your angst

Eyes flash in my direction
I’m certain they see my soul
My eyes slowly meet theirs
Can they see my fear?
I must hide it deeper inside

Think brain think!
Words jumble and race
Through you faster than
The speed of sound or light
Don’t fail to ignite

Ok mouth, brain in gear
Slows down to engage with you
Choose wisely the words
That will flow over your tongue
Like hot molten lava
Which they won’t forget

Shall it be clever?
Shall your words be humorous?
“Oh how intelligent she is” they’ll say!
You walk across the room
Smile… look into their inquisitive eyes
And say….”Hello”!

He Came Home to Her Today: Lyrics Form

 V1 & Chorus
He came home to her today
Seems so long ago he went away
Left her side to fight a war
He believed in what the fight was for

V2
He fought the fight for freedom’s sake
Knowing the danger and the risk he’d take
Young brothers fighting by his side
Mourning their fall whenever one would die

V3
He dreams of home most everyday
His life with her back in the USA
Thinking of happy times to come
His reality is talking machine guns

V4
She got the news just yesterday
Her true love was coming home to stay
She watched the plane land from above
It brought the flag draped box that held her love

Chorus
He came home to her today
Seems so long ago he went away
Left her side to fight a war
He believed in what the fight was for
 (Pause)
He came home to her today

Water

Water oh glorious water
Without you men die
Your power is from God
One gift, which cannot be denied
You are a gentle mist
Falling gracefully from heaven
You are a fierce flood
Rushing over the earth
Destroying everything
Standing in your path
You quench a parched soul
You drown a weakened body
You cleanse ever so gently
Your strength moves mountains
You are the tears of joy and sorrow
Many have met their doom
With visions of you
Never within their grasp
Sailed your powerful fingertips
Tossing mighty vessels of steel
Like feathers in the wind
You give life to the lush fields of green
Tormented souls in Hell beg for
One cool drop of you
To no avail
Truly you are a gift from God

The Stranger

 You look in the mirror
You don’t recognize
The stranger staring back
With passionless eyes
The path that you followed
Took some hard turns
Not knowing which direction
You wouldn’t get hurt
The smile on your face
Is a meager disguise
Hides the chains on your soul
Your world of dark lies
Love comes and goes
time passes by
A box of broken hearts
You hold as your prize
Never satisfied
With what you’ve become
No one ever noticed
That you were just numb
So wake yourself up
From the nightmare you live
Your heart can start healing
When you receive what you give
Look back in the mirror
What will you see?
A being of God’s love
Your spirit soars……
Finally free

Meet Your Fate

You threaten us with terror,
You threaten us with death,
You claim it’s in the name of God,
Your brothers do protest...

Blow yourselves up,
Dress in women’s attire,
Soon you will dance in Hell’s burning fire...

Hide in your hills,
Hide in your holes,
Hide behind children and the very old...

Crawl and slither like a snake in the grass,
Nothing is going to save your ass!

The promise of virgins is all a big lie...
No welcoming smiles await when you die...

So go ahead and spread your hate,
He’ll gladly help you meet your fate...

Your days are quickly nearing the end,
A mighty warrior we will send...

He’s young and brave,
Has a heart of stone
To whomever threatens one of his own...

He’s cunning with stealth,
Lean and mean...
Meet your worst nightmare,
 He's a U.S. Marine!
