Red White and Blue

Red White and Blue,
The things you’ve been thru...
From jungles, mountains
And salty red island shores
To haunted battlefields of home
Your majesty soars!

Burned, trampled, and spat upon
By traitors and foes...
Instilling fear to the core
Of your enemy’s souls,
You remain steadfast!

Waving high above young soldiers
From early dawn to late night,
Giving them courage
At your very sight...
You are strength!

When your mighty warriors
Take a fatal fall,
You gently drape them in honor
Escorting heroes home...
You are comfort!

Red White and Blue,
“Old Glory”, some say,
United we stand, under you
Until our dying day...
We are American Patriots true!

  1. Very Patriotic Brenda! This poem is sad in some respects but sure made me proud to be an American!
    Thanks for the privilege.
