Silence Isn't Always Golden

Trips around the world
Bowing and kissing rings
Our country is wounded
While he practices his swing

Criticizing the wealthy
For having profuse cash
Trying to take theirs
While he hides his private stash

Socialist friends
With capitalist disdain
Holding exorbitant fundraisers
For his anti American campaign

Attitude he conveys
Not his words verbatim
Actions speak louder
He doesn't have to say them

Do as I say not as I do
I’m your messiah
I make the rules
You dare ask my thoughts
My plans my intentions
Let me be perfectly clear
It’s none of your business

Scary Secretary stands by his side
In bed with the U N
Handing over our inalienable rights

Craving to control every thought
In your head
Take away your arms
Leaving our 2nd Amendment dead

Former speaker of the house
Flies around on her broom
Spewing double standard talk
While promising the moon

Mr. Attorney General
No man of high standards
Fast and furiously covering
His gun smuggling disaster

Four more years
Of his unbridled resolution
Will destroy our homeland and
The U.S. Constitution

Silence isn’t always golden
So raise your patriotic voice
Before it’s too late and
No one has freedom’s choice

  1. This was good, really, really good, Brenda!! I love how you included all responsible for dirty actions. They damn sure as hell need to get their selves together or our rights will inevitably one day be gone! Why is it always alright for these folks to get away with so much wrong-doing and folks who are everyday citizens pay the price? I think "We The People," deserve better than we have. This was a great write!!

  2. Thanks John, I agree, politicians try to push their personal agendas instead of upholding our constitution! "We the People", must be the ones to put a stop to their nonsense, before it's too late.
